Stewards Comments

CASTLE BLITZ a post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be slow to recover. Trainer was of the opinion that the gelding may have been slow to recover due to suffering some heat stress, however he undertook to monitor the gelding on return to the stables and advise Stewards of anything that may come to his attention. ALLS GOOD shifted outwards shortly after the start and bumped. TEN ACES when questioned, rider advised that he was instructed to settle the gelding back in the field due to its wide barrier. Trainer confirmed these instructions and advised that they were issued in order to have the gelding relax in the early stages. Trainer was reminded of his obligations to advise Stewards of any changes to riding instructions in future. THE PACKAGE bumped shortly after the start. CALVOCORESSI got its head in the air shortly after the start and then raced keenly in the early and middle stages and was crowded slightly near the 1000m. HAAGEN pulled hard in the middle stages and was restrained from heels losing some ground near the 700m. MARUSE slow into stride. Rider was shown a replay of his riding in the straight and was told to moderate the use of his whip in future.
