Stewards Comments

TIMELY REIGN bounded then knuckled on jumping, losing considerable ground. Raced wide from the 600m. RACSO steadied passing the winning post on the first occasion. IRON SPIKE fractious in the barriers and then commenced awkwardly. DON'T TELL TOBY race wide throughout. DOONE'S BOY slow into stride. HANABI compounded from the 600m. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with an elevated heart rate and slow to recover. Trainer advised that it was his intention to have blood analysis conducted on the gelding and that he would race it over a decreased distance at its next start. Trainer subsequently advised that on return to the stable the gelding had recovered well. Trainer was advised that the gelding would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness before racing or trialling and that he was to report any abnormalities that were detected from the blood analysis. ROYALISTIC dislodged its rider en-route to the barriers who took an apparent harmless fall.
