Stewards Comments

ROAD TO ETERNITY when questioned regarding the unplaced performance, rider explained that the gelding felt uncomfortable in its action and was under pressure prior to the 600m. Trainer advised that the gelding had settled further back in the field than expected and as such had difficulty making ground in a fast run race. Trainer undertook to monitor the gelding's recovery and report to Stewards any abnormalities. SHADESOFTIME a post race Veterinary examination revealed the filly to have returned with a laceration to the off hind. SUPAUSPICIOUS raced wide from the 900m. VAIN ROONEY steadied when racing keenly passing the 600m. ELEGANT THEORY raced wide throughout. NIGHT AT THE OPERA bounded at the start and bumped. STREET VALUE raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Held up on straightening. OUT OF THE SKY bumped shortly after the start.
