Stewards Comments

AZTEC PRINCE lay outwards throughout and when asked to improve in the straight showed no response. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near hind. Trainer was advised that the gelding would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness prior to racing or trialling again. SUPERIOR SPEED impeded for clear running until leaving the 150m when angled inwards. GIFT OF ELOQUENCE bounded at the start, losing ground. Over-raced in the early stages getting its head in the air passing the 900m. Blocked for a clear run until the 200m when angled outwards. AUBURN ANGELA raced wide throughout. Compounded from the 400m. Prior to undergoing a Veterinary examination at the request of Stewards after the race, the mare got down in its stall and Trainer was subsequently advised that it would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness prior to racing or trialling again. NOVOYA lay inwards in the straight. REAL SCENE slow into stride.
