Stewards Comments

LACERATE raced keenly through the middle stages and as a result steadied at the 600m. Held up from on straightening until leaving the 100m. Brushed the running rail near the 225m and again near the 100m. GENERAL SUN TZU rider reported that the gelding lay inwards from the 600m and as a result had difficulty in obtaining a clear run until the final 150m. SALE TOPPER steadied at the 600m. Impeded for clear running in the early stages of the straight. GIFT OF ELOQUENCE threw its head shortly after jumping and then raced ungenerously in the early stages getting its head in the air. ZARISK raced wide throughout. INTERPOL returned having bled from both nostrils during running. Trainer was advised that the gelding would now suffer the disabilities of ARR.53A. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have strained its near fore flexor tendon. Trainer was advised that the gelding would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness prior to racing or trialling again.
