Stewards Comments

AGAINST THE SKY commenced awkwardly. stages. regarding his riding of the gelding in the straight, in particular from the 200m, rider stated that the gelding had been agitated prior to the start and consequently sweated up which was in contrast to its most recent trial on 6 July 2009 at Belmont. raced in the early stages and got its head in the air on a number of occasions. and accelerated quickly prior to the 200m, however it was under pressure soon after and he therefore elected to ride the gelding in a hands and heels style to keep it balanced. challenged by another runner he tested the gelding with the whip and it then had a tendency to roll outwards under pressure due to tiring. explanation was noted by the Stewards.
