Stewards Comments

DARGON brushed the running rail and became unbalanced near the 1000m. GENERAL SUN TZU when questioned regarding the unplaced performance, rider advised that although the gelding had raced wide from the 500m, it was under pressure on straightening and failed to finish the race off as anticipated. Trainer expressed disappointment in the performance and would consider his next step with the gelding in regard to its current preparation. He further undertook not to race the gelding for a period of at least two weeks. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. SANDPATCH commenced awkwardly and lost ground. ZOOMSONIC steadied at the 1000m. PAPUCCI raced wide throughout.
