Stewards Comments

BEAT THE STORM returned with an abrasion to the near stifle. CLASSY NUGGET raced wide throughout. DANES MYSTERY held tight and carried inwards and steadied near the 1000m. CASPER COWBOY pulled hard in the early and middle stages. DANEBEELA held tight and raced in restricted room for some distance between the 850m until near the 750m where it was then steadied. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, Trainer could offer no explanation for the performance and advised that he would monitor the mare's recovery and advise Stewards of any abnormalities and his future intentions. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to have returned with an elevated heart rate and to have an abrasion to its near fore cannon. REFLECTIVE STAR slow to begin.
