Stewards Comments

MCBUSTER lay outwards near the 600m. When questioned rider advised that she was instructed to urge the gelding forward and position it on the pace and after commencing well and with the addition of blinkers, the gelding was able to lead. Trainer advised that the gelding had been racing further back in the field than anticipated at its most recent starts due to beginning poorly and he further advised that the gelding would continue to be ridden in a prominent position when possible in future. XAAR BOOM lay inwards and steadied near the 75m. SEARCH ME raced wide on straightening. Returned with blood in the off side nostril. Trainer was advised that the mare would be required to trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards before racing again. METAL FLAKE steadied when racing keenly near the 600m. CARIBBEAN CRUISE lashed out with its hind legs immediately prior to the start and then dipped shortly after jumping.
