Stewards Comments

HAAGEN buffeted on jumping. SHY CANO lay inwards and bumped shortly after the start. Held tight and bumped passing the 1200m. Raced keenly in the middle stages. Held up from on straightening until passing the 250m. Trainer advised that on return to the stable the gelding was found to have minor abrasions to the off hind. IN THE MOVE buffeted on jumping. A post race Veterinary examination of the gelding which tired in the straight revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised that the gelding's normal pattern of racing is to settle in the mid-field position and was unsuited by leading today and as a consequence raced greenly in running and it was now his intention to remove the blinkers and instruct it to be ridden off the pace when possible in future. AERIAL MUSTER commenced awkwardly. Over-raced in the early stages with the saddle shifting forward slightly placing its rider in some difficulty. Trainer advised that in his opinion the gelding was unsuited by the pulling bit which it wore for the first time today and he would now fit a standard ring bit for future starts. GRAND COUTURE buffeted on jumping. OUR MAN STAN raced wide from the 600m. STEVES PICK raced wide throughout. CLASSCHASER commenced awkwardly and bumped. Held tight and bumped passing the 1200m. CEEDEX steadied inwards on straightening to obtain a clear run.
