Stewards Comments

RANGER impeded for clear running from the 500m until the 400m. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance, rider advised that the gelding travelled comfortably in running and although held up rounding the home turn his mount failed to quicken as anticipated when placed under pressure and only finished the race off moderately. Trainer advised that following today's performance he was of the opinion that the gelding may be more suited to racing over a greater distance at its next start. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. KLASY SPY over-raced in the early and middle stages. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned showing signs of heat stress. IRISH ACTION had difficulty in obtaining clear running in the straight and as a result raced in restricted room and impeded leaving the 200m. YOAKAM raced wide in the early and middle stages. POCKETKNOCKOUTKING fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Slow into stride. Had difficulty obtaining clear running from on straightening until near the 100m. Returned with a laceration to its lip. MADAM TEMPETE raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Taken outwards on straightening to obtain clear running. FIRST LOT raced wide from the 600m.
