Stewards Comments

MYSTERY CITY bumped at the start. Blocked for clear running from the 150m until leaving the 50m. GROUP MEMORY slow into stride. MCBUSTER blundered at the start and then bumped shortly after. Held up from on straightening until taken outwards across the heels of a tiring runner near the 200m. Rider advised that after taking the gelding outwards quickly near the 200m she had to change her hold on the reigns and as a result her whip then became entangled in her reins then causing her to drop her offside rein passing the 100m which placed her at a considerable disadvantage through this section of the race. JEAN raced wide from the 500m. WOLFE DREAMS fractious in the barriers prior to the start, reared and momentarily got its off hind leg up on the safety ledge. The gelding was removed from its barrier and underwent a Veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. When questioned regarding its performance rider advised that the gelding travelled well in the early stages however when ridden forward from passing the 600m did not improve into the race and was under considerable pressure from the 400m. Trainer advised that the gelding had returned with a slow recovery rate and he would monitor it over the ensuing days and advise Stewards of any irregularities and his future intentions. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. DEMON slow into stride. MAXXIMUS DIGNITAS knuckled at the start and commenced awkwardly.
