Stewards Comments

WARATAH'S SECRET when questioned rider explained that he had raced wide in the early stages, however got cover when racing onto the course proper. In the straight the gelding had lay inwards necessitating him to pulling the whip through to the left hand and the gelding had finished the race off well. Further he was of the opinion that the gelding would benefit from racing over an increased distance. Trainer advised the Stewards that he would monitor the recovery of the gelding and give consideration to extending the distance at its next race start. WOLFE DREAMS fractious in the barriers and reared prior to the start. BLACK NIJINSKY a post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with minor lacerations to the off fore. FROMM held tight and steadied shortly after the start. MASTER TENBY bumped shortly after the start becoming unbalanced.
