Stewards Comments

VILLAGIO commenced awkwardly striking the barrier partition. Raced wide for the majority of the event. CONDY PARK bumped shortly after the start. Raced keenly in the middle stages. DA HUSSLER bumped shortly after the start. IVANDRAGO raced wide on straightening and lay inwards in the early stages of the straight with the rider changing the whip to his left hand near the 200m. PAWNEE BRAVE lay outwards from the 600m. RED PANTHER raced wide in the early stages. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance, rider was of the opinion that as he was unable to lead in the event due to the fast early pace, the gelding was under pressure on straightening and did not finish the race off as anticipated. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised that at this stage it is his intention to race the gelding in the Provincial area at its next race start.
