Stewards Comments

GALAXY QUEEN raced wide throughout. When questioned rider advised that the mare was forced to race wide without cover and was under pressure from the 800m and tired from there on. A post race veterinary examination of the mare revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised that although the mare raced wide throughout running he was disappointed in that it lost ground from the 800m and it was now his intentions to assess the mare's recovery and advise stewards of his future intentions. MANILA I SCREAM raced wide from the 800m and was buffeted and carried outwards and then raced extremely wide on straightening. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider advised that the mare did not travel strongly in running and was obliged to cover extra ground which detrimentally affected its performance. VAIN STRIKE buffeted shortly after the start. Momentarily held up for clear running near the 250m and angled inwards to obtain a clear run. DANISH CONQUERER when questioned in regards to the unplaced performance rider advised that the gelding had travelled well in running but when ridden along in the straight failed to respond, which he attributed to not having started for three weeks and racing today over an increased distance. Trainer advised that the gelding returned with its tongue over the bit and he would now consider a gear change and it was now his intentions to race the gelding over a decreased distance at its next race start. DASH INCREDIBLE lay inwards shortly after the start and raced ungenerously until passing the 1600m. ZUBOYNE held up on straightening. COLLECTING raced wide on straightening and buffeted near the 300m. MASTER SIN buffeted shortly after the start and was unbalanced and lost ground. Held up for clear running between the 500m and 250m. SCANNED jumped awkwardly. VERISSIMO cast both front plates during running.
