Stewards Comments

NEVER FORGOTTEN Held up on straightening and near the 250m was angled outwards across heels and bumped another runner. JOMATESI Buffeted at the start. Commenced to race keenly near the 750m and steadied. MASTER MARLON Commenced awkwardly and shifted outwards bumping another runner. CIRCULAR QUAY Bumped near the 250m. FROMM Steadied and taken across heels near the 250m. Rider advised that the mare changed strides over the concluding stages and consequently he did not ride it out fully to the end of the race as he was of the opinion that something may have been amiss with the mare. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer later advised that the mare had recovered well and he would not start it in a race for a period of at least two weeks. RUSSELL ROAD Buffeted at the start. Held tight and carried inwards in the early stages. KLASY SPY Pulled hard in the early and middle stages. Returned having cast its near fore plate during running.
