Stewards Comments

ATTACK AND RELEASE Rider sought and was granted permission by the Stewards to ride the gelding 0.5kg over its allotted weight. SPECIAL COLLECTOR When questioned regarding the unplaced performance, rider advised that the gelding had shown no early pace and as a result settled back in the field and had resented the dirt kickback. Carried wide by another runner passing the 800m. Trainer advised that on returning to the stable the gelding was showing signs of having jarred up and would now be sent for a spell. HUMMERSTORM Commenced to pull hard leaving the 1000m with the gelding then losing ground from this point. Trainer was advised that should the gelding race in a similar manner further action would be taken. PARISIAN ESSENCE Stood flat-footed as the start was effected losing ground. REAL DIAMONDS Returned having cast its near hind plate in running.
