Stewards Comments

XAARAVID Blocked for clear running from the 300m. Angled outwards near the 150m to obtain clear running. BRUNELLO Bumped at the 1300m. Held tight and bumped on a number of occasions between the 1000m and the 800m. CHINA CAUSEWAY Dwelt on jumping. AQUINAS Trainer advised Stewards that he would issue instructions for the gelding to be ridden in a more forward position today if possible and an oncourse announcement was made to this effect. Blundered badly on jumping unbalancing its rider and lost ground. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have quartered the outside of its off fore heel. AITCHISON Raced wide from the 600m. NEED LUCK Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Over-raced in the early and middle stages and bumped with another runner on a number of occasion between the 1000m and the 800m. Raced wide throughout.
