Stewards Comments

RICHIE Proved difficult to load. Trainer was advised to take steps to rectify the gelding's barrier manner. Raced wide throughout. POTSIE Steadied approaching the 800m. STANTON WARRIOR Raced greenly throughout. ASTI MATIQUE Slow into stride. PIPPALINE Steadied approaching the 800m. When questioned with regard to his use of the whip in the straight, rider advised that the filly had raced very greenly throughout and had lay out at several stages. On- straightening he had been unable to ride the filly out strongly as it had again lay out having to be corrected and as a result took several strides to become balanced from where it then responded well to his urgings and increased vigour over the concluding stages to finish the race off strongly.
