Stewards Comments

STORMY MAC A post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned with an elevated heart rate. Trainer undertook to monitor the gelding's recovery on return to the stables and advise Stewards of any abnormalities. LUV PLAYING TO WIN Bumped at the start. WOULD YOU BELIEVE Raced wide from the 600m. STOPPITT Bumped at the start. Lay inwards for the majority of the straight. DUGITE When questioned with regard to it losing ground on the field in the early stages, rider advised that she had attempted to steady the gelding inwards from its wide barrier to obtain cover, however it had resisted her efforts and raced ungenerously. Shortly thereafter it had stopped travelling strongly and lost further ground at which time she urged it forward however these circumstances were of detriment to its performance.
