Stewards Comments

MA MA MACHINE Bumped shortly after the start. Returned having cast its near hind plate during running. KID CHOISIR Buffeted on jumping and became unbalanced. Taken outwards approaching the 600m and then raced keenly and wide and made contact with another runner. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider advised that in his opinion the gelding may be better suited at this stage of its career to be raced over increased distances in future. Trainer advised that he will now give consideration to racing the gelding over a greater distance for future starts. GRAND JARDIN Raced wide throughout. VIZARD Slow into stride. WERD Had a tendency to race ungenerously and got its head in the air passing the 800m CANALI Trainer was questioned regarding the apparent improved performance and advised that the gelding at its previous start was obliged to work hard in the early and middle stages to obtain a favourable position from its wide barrier whereas today it had benefited from an inside barrier draw where it was able to race on the pace and relax during running and consequently was able to finish the race off strongly. It was established that the connections of the gelding had supported it today to a similar extent as at its previous start. LACHINO Bumped and carried wide approaching the 600m. ROYAL DEVOTION When disappointed for a clear run at the 200m it was further inconvenienced and steadied.
