Stewards Comments

DU PRINTEMPS Unable to obtain clear running from the 400m until passing the 50m. CAVES ROAD Raced greenly in the straight. Saddled shifted slightly when rider pulled the whip through to his left hand near the 100m. DREAMBURG Raced wide from the 500m and carried outwards on straightening. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised that he will consult with connections regarding the filly's racing future and advise Stewards accordingly. MC ARE Held up for a short distance near the 400m. Rider was questioned as to the reason why the gelding raced back in the field today in comparison to its previous two race starts where it had raced prominently on both occasions. Rider explained that he was instructed to position the gelding off the pace however it had been fractious in the barriers and was slow into stride and consequently he allowed the gelding to settle in a rearward position. He further advised that the gelding was reluctant to hold its position to the inside of other runners in the early and middle stages. Trainer confirmed the riding instructions and he further advised that the gelding had raced further back in the field than anticipated after failing to commence as well as anticipated from its wide barrier draw. PRIVATE CITY Returned with an abrasion to its near hock. READY FOR HONOR Slow into stride. Blocked for clear running from the 250m until passing the 100m. THE REGULATOR Raced wide throughout.
