Stewards Comments

RED MERCEDES Raced wide on straightening. DIRTY FLIRTY Bumped near the 1000m. Raced wide throughout. DUKE OF NORFOLK Raced fiercely and failed to settle in the early and middle stages and was steadied on a number of occasions through this section of the race. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised that the colt may be better suited to the addition of blinkers and he would now give consideration to adding that piece of gear for its future starts. GUARDS PATROL Slow to begin. LITTLE LEEROY Bumped near the 1000m. Held tight near the 800m. GLAZING HONEY Lay outwards between the 800m until passing the 300m. When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance, Trainer advised that the filly had raced on the pace at its previous start at Pinjarra on 3 March 2011 and had tired over the final stages and today, after deriving a natural benefit from that performance it had finished the race off strongly.
