Stewards Comments

PLAYING GOD Bumped when held tight passing the 1300m. When questioned regarding the performance, rider explained that although the colt raced wide it was able to obtain cover and travelled strongly throughout running and after being taken outwards on straightening had raced in a dour manner. He further advised that the colt appeared to be unsuited by dropping back in distance and tired over the final stages due to its weight impost and will benefit from racing over an increased distance at its next start. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. SOUND SYSTEM Rider reported that the gelding hung outwards throughout. RAFFERTY Scrambled at the start and then knuckled. Commenced to race fiercely leaving the 1400m and as a result steadied outwards from heels passing the 1300m. Tightened and restrained at the 250m. . VICTOBOUGG Raced wide throughout. SUMMER SWALLOW Bumped when tiring near the 150m. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Following the disappointing performance, Trainer advised that the filly would now be sent for a spell. KIM CLASSIC Held up on straightening until taken outwards across heels at the 250m. DELTA JANE Held up approaching the 150m and was then steadied and when taken outwards to obtain clear running made contact with another runner. SIENAWOOD Slipped behind at the start and lost ground.
