Stewards Comments

FORT COURAGE Raced wide throughout. FIGHTERS SECOND Slow into stride. Steadied outwards at the 500m. IRMA LA DANE Commenced awkwardly and crowded shortly after the start. Cast its CLASSIC BLITZ Bumped passing the 1000m and again bumped on a number of occasions leaving the 500m. GLENESK Rider advised that the gelding had a tendency to lay inwards in the straight. ALMACHINO Lay inwards passing the 100m. PATTIE ME LASS Raced wide from the 600m. Lay inwards over the final 200m. SATELLITE OF LOVE Approaching the 1000m became unbalanced when racing greenly and greenly and hung outwards leaving the 600m despite the efforts of its rider and as a result bumped with another runner on a number of occasions leaving the 500m. A post race Veterinary examination of the filly revealed it to have returned with a laceration to the inside of the near hind cannon. Trainer was advised that due to the racing manner of the filly, it must trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards prior to racing again. SHE'S ROY'S GIFT When questioned regarding the performance, rider advised that the filly had shown good speed from the barriers and travelled comfortably when leading but was under pressure prior to straightening and compounded in the straight. Trainer advised he would have blood specimens taken from the filly and advise Stewards
