Stewards Comments

WORD SALAD Threw its head shortly after the start and lost ground. MOSSGREEN Slow into stride. COGNAC BLUE Raced wide from the 700m. LADY BELLARA Raced wide throughout. RED HOT JEUNE Trainer reported that the gelding had received a more favourable run today than its last start at Broome on 9 July 2011 when it was held up. Further he was disappointed with the performance and undertook to monitor the gelding's recovery and advise Stewards accordingly. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer later reported that the gelding had recovered well and it was now his intention to continue with its current preparation. ROYAL IMPULSE When questioned regarding the improved performance, Trainer stated that the gelding's form prior to arriving in Broome had been good and following minor set backs on arrival and having benefited from its recent starts it was now back to its original form. He was also of the opinion that the addition of pacifiers had assisted with the kick back.
