Stewards Comments

ANCIENT SPELL Raced keenly in the early and middle stages and wide throughout. PROUD HERO Fractious in the barriers. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance rider advised that whilst the gelding had travelled comfortably in running when taken outwards on straightening to improve his mount failed to respond to his riding and weakened over the final 150m. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be mildly lame in the off fore. Trainer advised that the gelding would undergo a full veterinary examination upon return to his stables and he would advise Stewards accordingly of any results and his future intentions. SOUND BARRIER Blocked for clear running from on straightening until taken outwards near the 150m. I AM LUCKY Impeded for clear running passing the 200m. TRICKY SYD Held up for clear running from the 500m until near the 350m. MOSSROY
