Stewards Comments

ACADEMY TIDE Disappointed for clear running momentarily at the 150m. In view of the unplaced performance, a post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be slow to recover. Trainer reported that the gelding would now be sent for a spell. BRIGHT REASON Raced wide from the 600m in an attempt to improve its position. CAMPBELLS CHARIOT Raced wide throughout. FOXY BELLE Slow to begin and raced wide from the 600m. GOMAMBO Bumped at the 200m. In view of the disappointing performance, a post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have returned coughing and with Cardiac Arrhythmia. Trainer was advised that the gelding will require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness including an ECG prior to trialling and will have to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to racing again. ITS A SHAM Over-raced in the early and middle stages getting its head in the air on a number of occasions. OUT OF THE SKY Blocked from on straightening until taken outwards to obtain clear running and bumped with another runner at the 200m.
