Stewards Comments

THE SOCIAL NETWORK Bumped at the start. Had a tendency to over-race in the early and middle stages and got its head in the air near the 1400m. BELLTORIO Slow into stride. Steadied from the heels of a tiring runner passing the 600m. Lay inwards under pressure over the final stages. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised that the colt would be gelded and sent for a spell. SOUTHERN DRAWL Raced wide throughout. LETHAL JONES Lay inwards approaching the 200m. LOUISIANA BLUES Over-raced in the early and middle stages COSTA BROM Commenced awkwardly and bumped. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. MYSTIC DUST The bit pulled through the filly's mouth at the 800m placing its rider at a disadvantage thereafter. Trainer advised that he would now effect a bit change on the filly to prevent a re-occurrence.
