Stewards Comments

ELLAVAMOMENT Raced keenly in the early stages. SUGAR MAN Fractious in the barriers prior to the start. Bumped at the start. Raced wide throughout. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a laceration to the inside of its right nostril. IRON AGE Slow into stride. Held up momentarily on straightening. MYSTIC DUST Raced wide throughout. FOO KEIMA Proved difficult to load. Trainer was advised to take steps to improve the filly's barrier manners otherwise action may be taken against it. Raced wide throughout. MADAM JEWEL Bumped outwards at the 150m. OPERA SERIA Bumped at the start. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the straight. Shifted outwards near the 150m and bumped on two occasions. PIVOTAL DIRECTION Baulked en route to the barriers and broke through the inside running rail dislodging its rider who took an apparent harmless fall. A Veterinary examination revealed the filly to have sustained a laceration to its near fore forearm and a laceration to its off hind fetlock. The filly was subsequently withdrawn by the Stewards acting on Veterinary advice. Trainer was advised that the filly would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness prior to racing or trialling again.
