Stewards Comments

CARRY THE NATION Dwelt at the start and lost ground. When questioned regarding the performance rider advised that due to the gelding being slow into stride it raced further back in the field than anticipated and after asking for an effort in the straight had finished the race off strongly. Further, in his opinion the gelding would be suited racing over further ground at its next start. Trainer advised that it was now his intention to race the gelding over an increased distance for future starts. AL SHAMARDAL Slow into stride. Due to the unplaced performance Trainer advised that it was now her intention to place blinkers on the gelding for future starts. BORN TO BE BAD Slow into stride. Rider was shown a film of his riding in the straight and advised that he must show more care when riding his mount out to the finish and not allow it to shift ground in similar circumstances. LEICA JET Raced wide in the early and middle stages. DANTE'S LAST Crowded when tiring near the 150m. FLYING WARRIOR Pulled hard in the early and middle stages. Raced wide from the 600m. GIFT OF FURY Crowded when racing between runners over the final 50m. Returned with an abrasion to its near fore coronet.
