Stewards Comments

PREMARDAL Pulled hard in the early and middle stages and failed to settle throughout running. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance, rider advised that the mare failed to settle in the early and middle stages which resulted in it failing to quicken when asked for an effort in the straight. Trainer advised that it was his intention to give the mare a short let up and start it over a decreased distance when resuming. BONTIARA A post race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to have returned with an elevated heart rate and showing signs of heat stress. SVARA Raced wide from the 600m. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to have returned with a minor laceration to the off fore. BEST FEATURE Threw its head when racing keenly near the 1400m. TALENT SHOW Raced keenly in the early stages. Lay inwards in the straight with the rider using the whip in his left hand near the 100m.
