Stewards Comments

VOLCANIC CAUSEWAY Over-raced in the early stages. BONTIARA Bumped on several occasions passing the 900m. AMBERS KINGDOM Inconvenienced passing the winning post. GIVE ME WINGS Faltered at the 350m with its rider retiring it from the race. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have ruptured its near fore tendon. Trainer was advised that the gelding would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness before trialling or racing again. Trainer further advised that the gelding would now be retired. LAST CURTAIN Made the 1400m crossing awkwardly when over-racing. Shifted ground outwards over the final 150m. Rider was shown a film of his riding in the straight and was advised that he must stop and straighten his mounts when they commence to shift ground. ROSE OF MAY Over-raced in the early stages. MAC IT IS Carried outwards and steadied over the concluding stages. XAARPHONIC Raced wide throughout. Bumped outwards at the 900m. IT WON'T BE LONG Reared at the start striking its head on the barrier and lost considerable ground. A post race Veterinary revealed the gelding to have a minor abrasion to its forehead.
