Stewards Comments

SOUND BARRIER Raced wide from the 1000m. MAC'S MINT Bumped at the start. Raced wide from the 800m. TIMBERLANDS Commenced awkwardly and bumped. PIPPALINE Blundered at the start. TEDDYS MATE Held up for clear running from on straightening until steadied inwards near the 200m. BOXO'CHOCOLATS When runners were parading in the saddling enclosure, the oncourse Farrier advised Stewards that the mare had been presented to race poorly shod. At the request of the Stewards the mare was examined by the oncourse Veterinarian to ascertain its fitness to start and subsequently confirmed that the poorly fitted near fore shoe presented a risk of injury to that foot if the mare was to start. Consequently the mare was withdrawn by the Stewards acting on Veterinary advice. As Trainer was not in attendance at the meeting, Stewards will contact him regarding this matter.
