Stewards Comments

STAR VILLAIN Brushed the running rail leaving the 900m. JUST HOPING Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Improved onto heels passing the 800m and shortly after made contact with another runner. NANCY'S ANGEL Bounded at the start. Taken outwards at the 400m to avoid a tiring runner. ETERNALFORCE Following the unplaced performance, rider advised that the gelding had compounded from the 600m. A post race Veterinary examination of the gelding revealed it to be slow to recover. Trainer was advised that the gelding would have to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards before racing again. Trainer advised that the gelding would now be retired. SCENIC PARK Raced wide for the majority of the event. RUBY'S JOY Raced wide throughout. Bumped at the 700m. When questioned regarding his riding of the filly in the straight, rider advised that he had been obliged to race wide throughout running and after testing his mount with the whip it had failed to respond. Trainer advised that it was now his intention to step the filly up in distance at its next start.
