Stewards Comments

FORTESCUE FLYER Raced wide on straightening. Rider expressed disappointment with the performance and advised that in his opinion the gelding was better suited when racing in blinkers. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Co-Trainer advised that he would have blood samples taken from the gelding and advise Stewards of the results. He further stated that it was his intention to add blinkers to its gear in an attempt to improve its performance. TRUSTEE BROWN Raced keenly in the early stages. CAPRICIOUS LAD Trainer advised that the gelding would now be sent for a spell. DAINTREE ROAD Raced wide and hung outwards throughout. A post race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be mildly lame in the near fore. Training Partnership were advised that the gelding would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness prior to racing or trialling again.
