Stewards Comments

ELUSIVE IMAGE When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance as compared to its unplaced start at Belmont on 7 July 2012 over 2000m, Trainer advised that in his opinion the gelding had benefited by the increased tempo and distance of today's race and the services of a senior rider. OPERATIONAL Trainer advised Stewards that the gelding had sustained bruising to the off hind in a stable mishap earlier this morning and a subsequent Veterinary examination found the gelding to be lame in the off hind and it was subsequently withdrawn by the Stewards acting on Veterinary advice. Trainer was advised that the gelding would require a Veterinary Certificate of Soundness prior to racing or trialling again. SHOOT FOR GLORY Raced wide for the majority of the event. WONORG Carried inwards by another runner approaching the winning post on the first occasion. Raced wide from the 500m. RANTORINI Carried inwards approaching the winning post on the first occasion and was tightened and restrained and then raced keenly and was obliged to race wide thereafter.
