Stewards Comments

GUM NUT GURU Raced wide for the majority of the event. NO JURISDICTION Crowded and steadied near the 250m. Returned with minor abrasions to the off fore and near fore cannons. DELTA BAY Held up for clear running from on straightening until passing the 100m and was then accidentally flicked over the head by the whip of another rider on two occasions. KNIGHT FURY Raced wide throughout. SETTLE STRADA Returned with an abrasion to the off hind heel. SIDE SPLITTER Raced wide throughout. JAPPALOOP Proved difficult to load and then slow into stride. TIGER PETE When questioned regarding the gelding racing in a rearward position, rider advised that due to it's wide barrier he felt his best option was to allow it to relax at the rear of the field where it would then be able to finish the race off more strongly, as on previous occasions over similar and increased distances it had not been able to achieve this when ridden prominently from wide barriers.
