Stewards Comments

SECRET RULER Raced wide from the 800m. Shifted inwards and bumped another runner near the 200m. BLACK BURBERRY Crowded near the 1100m. Returned with a minor laceration to the inside of the near hock. ELLERY Commenced awkwardly and veered inwards. JACKAROO Lay inwards and steadied from heels approaching the 250m with the rider changing the whip into his left hand. OUR VINCENT Slow into stride. APLORABLE Raced wide for the majority of the event. IF YOU DO Bumped near the 150m. When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance, Trainer advised that the gelding had been better suited by racing over a reduced distance today and also from being positioned off the pace. He further advised that it was his intention to restrict the gelding to racing over similar distances in future. POUNCED Tightened and steadied near the 1100m. Steadied near the 800m and then raced keenly. FREMANTLE Following the poor performance, Trainer advised that she would have the gelding undergo an endoscopic examination and advise Stewards of the results. Trainer later advised that the gelding would now be retired. BRADBURY'S CHOICE Threw its head on jumping. Crowded and steadied near the 700m.
