Stewards Comments

LENNARD'S WATCH Commenced awkwardly and bumped shortly after. Lay outwards from the 600m. REALLY SLEEK Sustained a laceration to its tongue en-route to the course and after being examined by the Club's Veterinary Officer was cleared to race. Tightened for room and steadied when held up for clear running on straightening. Following the unplaced performance, Trainer advised that the gelding would now be sent for a spell. LAST TEMPEST Commenced to pull hard from the 1100m and took charge of its rider through the middle stages. Trainer was advised that the mare would have to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards before racing again. Connections advised that the mare would now be retired. MY FASCINATION Bounded at the start. OPPOSITES ATTRACT Bumped at the start. Raced keenly in the middle stages. WEST RIVER BILLIE Rider reported that the bit had pulled through the mare's mouth in the early stages and placed him at a disadvantage in running and in particular in maintaining his momentum when leading through the middle stages. Trainer advised that he would alter the mare's racing bit to prevent this occurrence in future. He further advised that the mare would now be sent for a spell.
