Stewards Comments

FESTIVAL STAR Bumped at the start. DON'T DOUBT BUSTER Blundered badly on jumping unbalancing its rider and bumped. Raced wide throughout. When questioned regarding the unplaced performance, rider advised the gelding did not feel comfortable in its action throughout the race and failed to finish the race off as expected. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer undertook to monitor the gelding's recovery and advise Stewards accordingly. MAKIN' A RACQUET Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. When questioned rider advised that the gelding did not travel comfortably at any stage throughout the race and failed to run on in the straight. A post race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer advised that in her opinion the gelding did not appreciate racing up in class today and it was now her intention to have it start in the Provincial area for its immediate racing. IBRAHIMOVIC Dipped on jumping and lay outwards throughout. SOLITARY HERO Steadied at the 800m. CYGNET BAY Crowded shortly after the start. Held up for clear running momentarily near the 300m. EDADI Raced wide on straightening and lay inwards in the straight.
