
The $125,000 Group 3 Roma Cup (1200m) will headline Italian Day at Belmont Park on Saturday.
The race was first run and won by Summer Storm in 1966 and received group three status in 1980.
The last mare to win was No Questions who in 2007 defeated Star Laser and Scuffs for trainer Trevor Andrews and jockey Paul Harvey.
The Harvey and Andrews’s combination were also successful in 2004 when Modem scored from Cento and Golden Delicious.
Harvey scored successive wins with Papillion (1999) and Star System (2000).
Jim Taylor has prepared two winners including a race quinella with Vain Raider and Idyllic Prince (2010) and Avenida Madero (2005).
He was also placed third on three other occasions: Golden Delicious (2004), Cool Business (2002) and Country Blazer (2001).
Multiple winners include Grand Nirvana (2011-2009), Doctor Golly (1992-1993), Wild Side (1982-1983), Tangiers (1980-1981) and Clear Mak (1973-1974).
