The Pinjarra Harness Racing Club has introduced a sprint lane that will be operational at the club’s next meeting on Monday, May 28.
The sprint lane has been in use at the Golden Mile Trotting Club in Kalgoorlie but its introduction at Pinjarra Paceway is a first for a provincial ‘A’ club.
“The committee has considered the concept for some time and believes the sprint lane will increase punter confidence and modernise the racing product to better service their needs,” said General Manager, Revell Douglas.”
The club’s feature event, the $40,000 De Rosa’s Motors Pinjarra Pacing Cup will be run a week later on the Foundation Day weekend.
The time honoured event is set to attract big names including Has The Answers, Lombo Pocket Watch, Lombo Navigator, Can Return Fire and Remember El.
