Paul Stuart is confident Military Power can overcome an awkward draw and has the armoury to score consecutive wins when he contests the Under The Big Top@Greyhounds WA Dawesville Stake (530m) at Cannington tonight.
The Path To Power chaser can mix and match his form but on his night he is more than capable as evidenced by his win last week when he proved too strong for Magic Ghost over 530m in a respectable time of 30.64sec.
"He jumped the best he ever had and drove through really well," said Stuart.
"This race is not the strongest of fields and winning form is good form.
"He is feeling well and going great and fingers crossed he can put another one next to his name."
Meanwhile Stuart reports all is well with his champion chaser Miata who is back trialling in readiness for her next campaign.
"She is back trialling and hopefully we will see her in the next couple of weeks at Cannington," said Stuart.
"She has pulled up okay and all signs show she is feeling well.
"My short term goal is to get her ready for the nationals in August and after that we will concentrate on 700m races over east.
"She is fit and well and has recovered fully from her Brisbane campaign.
"She is in a good frame of mind and hopefully we can get her to the track sooner rather than later."
