25 July 2008 Paradise Street Trophy Final

As it should be with a feature race, this Saturday's Paradise Street Trophy Final (642m) at Cannington looks to be a very even affair, with every runner having a chance to win.

Seasoned distance performer Key Card was the fastest qualifier from last weekend's heats with a run of 37.46 and is a strong finisher.

Key Card enters the race having missed the placings only once out his last eleven starts.

Although the Peter Sayer-trained chaser is in better-than-reasonable form, that statement can be made for virtually all of competitors in this race.

Vulture Street is unbeaten over this distance after last week's heat victory and should be improved.

Staring at different ends of the boxes, the Greg Martin-prepared Basic Instinct (box2) and Sienna Glade (box 8) are both quick beginners although that's not always a good thing over this distance.

Sienna Glade's trainer, Peter Glenny, is hoping the greyhound can complete a hat-trick of wins this weekend.

Greg Martin's other runner is the event is Surflyer, a more than handy greyhound which despite being better known over the 530m Martin himself rates as the better of his two chances.

Hi Barbara was the other heat winner and will have the advantage of box 1.
