As the name implies, a ClubTAB is a TAB in a licensed area of a Club.
The betting terminal is positioned on the bar and is operated by bar staff. However, it may be necessary to provide dedicated staff for two to three hours on a Friday and up to seven hours on a Saturday.
This is up to you - the amount of commission paid is directly related to sales.
Of course, as well as the actual commission paid, there is the potential spin-off on your bar sales. A customer is likely to stay at your Club longer if he is entertained.
You are required to provide a TAB service during the Club's opening hours when the TAB is on-line.
For special events, such as the Melbourne Cup, you are expected to open in accordance with official TAB hours.
Should an agreement be reached for the establishment of a TAB Wagering service, it would be necessary to install Sky Channel if not already connected. Your Territory Manager is able to provide details of this service.
If both parties decide to proceed further with a ClubTAB, you will need to supply:
An administration and training fee of $550 (GST inclusive) will be required by the TAB prior to commencement.
The training component of the fee covers attendance by the licensee/manager and two members of staff at our Barrack Street Training School for a three day course scheduled by the TAB prior to the commencement date. It will then be your responsibility to ensure sufficient back up staff are able to operate the agency as and when required.
The TAB runs regular training schools and additional staff are welcome to attend for a fee of $165 (GST Inclusive).
No. The agreement can be terminated at any time by one month's written notice from the agent (licensed Club) or one month's written notice from the TAB.
