Any incident should be reported to club officials/stewards (for race track incidents) and details recorded including names and contact details of witnesses and any other information that may be relevant should a claim be made against/by the jockey or apprentice. Workers Compensation claims are to be forwarded to RWWA Workers Compensation Officer. All other claims should be forwarded to the RWWA Insurance Officer.

This policy will provide cover to jockeys and apprentices under the Workers Compensation Act.
Policy details - This cover is arranged by RWWA as per the Workers Compensation Act, to provide protection to jockeys and apprentices whilst performing their duties. This cover is paid by RWWA out of the starters subsidy distribution.

This policy will indemnify Jockeys and Apprentices against personal injury or property damage claims made against them by third parties resulting from an incident occurring in connection with their thoroughbred racing business activities.
