An astute TAB punter has hit the jackpot pocketing a whopping $495,057 after landing a series of successful Player Sportsbet’s.
The punter placed a series of Player “multi” bets at the Medina Tavern TAB last week outlaying a total of $230 for a return just shy of half a million dollars.
“Multi” bets allow customers to place multiple selections together onto the one bet with the returns of each selection multiplied together, giving the punter a much higher return. All selections must win for the bet to be a winner.
A total of five multi bets were placed by the one customer coupling together selections from Sydney and Melbourne race meetings at Randwick and Sandown respectively. Each of the five Player multi bets had seven or eight selections to win.
Player Media Manager Mr David Shortte said, “It is phenomenal performance by the customer to find so many winners and to have the wisdom to leg them all together into these multi bets. He certainly has been well rewarded for his efforts.”
