Trainer Daniel Morton has today officially withdrawn SCENIC SHOT from the BMW-Perth Cup to be run at Ascot on on Friday 1 January 2010.
In accordance with Australian Rule of Racing 103(2) the withdrawal of SCENIC SHOT will require weights to be increased at close of final declarations to provide for the highest-weighted acceptor at 57kg. The minimum handicap weight will be maintained at 52kg for four-years-old and older horses and 50kg for horses aged three.
RWWA Chief Handicapper David Hunter yesterday issued a 1kg penalty to LORDS RANSOM in the BMW-Perth Cup, following his win in Saturday’s Landscape Development-C.B. Cox Stakes.
Final declarations for the Cup close at 12 noon on Monday 28 December 2009.
