The highlight of country racing action this weekend is the running of tomorrow’s $20,000 BHP Billiton Iron Ore-Newman Cup (2100m).
Headlining the field is last week’s XXXX Gold Broome Cup winner Viscount Cameron who will attempt to claim a feature race double.
The veteran 10-year-old gelding, prepared by Angela Smith, will carry top weight of 62kg, a rise of 7kg on her success seven days back.
The Newman Cup is race five on the six event programme and is set down for 4:03pm.
There will be no SKY coverage of the meeting but can be head on Racing Radio.

On Sunday a dual meeting from Kalgoorlie and Carnarvon that features the $15,000 Bob Burkett Memorial Exmouth Cup (1600m).
A field of 11 to contest the race including top weight Vintage Mo who was a last-start winner for leading trainer Peter Daly.
The first of six from Carnarvon commences at 12:43pm.
Kalgoorlie gets underway from 1:03pm and the main race is the $15,000 Goldfields Sprint which will see several potential Hannans’ Handicap contenders going around.
Trainers Merv Dellar, Peter Fernie and Patrick Bermingham Jnr are well represented with three runners apiece.
Chasing from Greyhounds WA Mandurah and pacing from Bunbury on Saturday night complete the weekend action.
